I know Colette because she was my grand mother's neighbour for many years in Envigado. Her story is different from the rest of my conversations. She hasn't migrated anywhere in many years. But in 1942 She arrived in South America after over a year at sea when her and her family fled the Nazi invasion of France. This is a long conversation and a valuable one. She talks about sounds and smells that she'll never forget, even though she's been in Colombia for almost 70 years. She also has some very touching stories from when she first went back to France after not having been in 50 years.
